TOPIC:  Cleaning Out Internet Explorer Residuals (every 1 to 2 weeks)

*Please Note:  If you have selected an option for a website to save your "user name" and/or "password" (e.g. New York Times, LA Times, etc.), this information will need to be Re-Entered.  Before proceeding, please ensure that you have your login information for any websites that you may have registered.  Your login information will be Deleted!

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Click "Tools" | "Internet Options"

3. You should be on the "General Tab" (look at top left-hand corner of the window)

4. Click [Delete Cookies], [OK]   (wait, this may take some time)

5. Click [Delete Files], Select "Delete all offline content", [OK]   (wait, this may take some time)

6. Click [Clear History], [Yes]   (wait, this may take some time)


(Optional) To Clear out information that automatically comes up when filling out forms (e.g. name, address, etc.):

7. Click "Content" Tab

8. Click [AutoComplete]

9. Click [Clear Forms], [OK]   (wait, this may take some time)

10. Click [Clear Passwords], [OK]   (wait, this may take some time)


(Optional) Suggested Setting to receive newer content from web pages:

11. Click "General" Tab

12. Click [Settings]

13. Select "Every visit to the page", Click [OK]

 

14. Click [OK] to close Internet Options window
